The hanging indicator midge is a pattern we developed for aging eyes. It's has a great profile, a foam indicator and the right amount of flash for such a small pattern.
This midge is part cluster, part hanging, part attractor pattern. We designed this for struggling eyes. It rides low in the water and mimics a small mass of midges clustered in the surface tension. We fish these on tough days when the head winds are unforgiving and the trout are selective. It's great for bright, breezy afternoons when surface glare and chop make it difficult to pick your bugs out from the naturals.
