The CDC Dime Midge is an adult pattern we fish from early November through the end of March. It's a fantastic high-vis option for winter trout up feeding through the heat of the day.
A fantastic November through late March dry fly pattern we rely on for Idaho and Montana rivers. It’s a great, buggy profile adult midge that’s easy on the eyes and rides correctly on the surface. Fish these in 22/24 on those sunny winter afternoons when trout are podded up sipping naturals in slack pools and along soft edges. This one has bailed us out many times!
