Fly Pattern Details

The CDC Captive Dun is an early stage go-to pattern we fish when trout are selectively ignoring adult mayfly patterns. The CDC "bubble" wing creates an air pocket for a low profile pattern that represents an emerging nymph trapped in the surface tension. These can be fished on their own or trailed behind an adult.
